What kind of music does the band play?

We play a large selection of songs drawn from the 60s to present day. Pretty much everything from The Beatles to INXS via the Rolling Stones, Queen, Simple Minds, The Cure, Kinks, Stone Roses, The Specials, Franz Ferdinand, Amy Winehouse, Kaiser Chiefs, Bob Marley etc – and we do a bit of punk, two-tone and disco too, if you like! 



How many members in the band?

There are 5 members , but we can play with a three piece brass section if you want a fatter soul sound! Just ask when you call.



Do you use tapes or anything pre-recorded?

Most definitely not! Everything we play is live - we do NOT use any form of backing tapes or pre-recorded hard disk during gigs.

How long does the band play?

We would normally play two sets of about an hour each. However we are in your hands and will do whatever you ask us!

How long does it take to set up?

We would always prefer a couple of hours. We will work with you to fit in around your event and make sure everything goes smoothly. We would always have background music playing by the time your guests arrive.

What about access to the room where you will be playing?

Ideally we would like to be able to park our vehicles as close as possible to save lugging the gear about…but we can cope with pretty much everything – apart from tight spiral staircases!

What equipment will you supply?

Everything for the evening including a public address (PA) system which we are more than happy for you to use for announcements during the evening; a full lighting rig and the wrap-around party music too.

​Will you play outside?

Yes and have done on numerous occasions.  

​

Can we make announcements with you PA?

Of course! We are more than happy to MC - or to let you have a go!

​​What about when the band aren’t playing?

No need to book a DJ! We can play your own mix or provide a party playlist. 

​

​What sort of functions have you played?

We have played everything from milestone birthdays to corporate events, and beer festivals to weddings and Xmas parties, as well as many pubs, clubs and private parties as you can see on the 'Gigs' link at the top of the page. 

 

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes we do: we are fully insured and our equipment is regularly PAT tested.
